Publicado 2025“…Dorothea Orem's self-care deficit model was applied to support the nursing process that focuses on the importance of individuals assuming responsibility for their own care; as an objective: to carry out the nursing care process through evidence-based research, using the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy, applying Murray Atkinson's theory. Methodology: The type of applied case research study is qualitative, since data is collected through prenatal care of a 23-year-old patient with a medical diagnosis of urinary tract infection, bacterial vaginosis, epilepsy, alcoholism and related social problems, thus applying the phases of the nursing process, assessment, diagnosis, planning, execution and evaluation, obtaining as a result: limited by the lack of commitment and cooperation of the patient because she showed little receptivity to educational guidance; she continued with some health problems without completing the prescribed treatments; she maintained moderate control over her pregnancy; Regarding the discussion of results: Her knowledge on some topics remains at a moderate level, due to lack of attendance at prenatal sessions, which is why the nursing support and education system was provided and counseling on urinary tract and vaginal infections was provided, although the patient's receptivity has been low and her cooperation scarce, which is why the nursing system was also taken as totally compensatory, involving health personnel to make home visits and in Conclusion: In complex medical conditions and low educational levels; was limited by the lack of commitment and cooperation of the patient because she showed little receptivity to educational guidance; continued with some health problems without completing the prescribed treatments; maintained moderate control over her pregnancy.…”
