“…Con el desarrollo e implementación del sistema informático para la administración de los programas de becas, microempresas y agua limpia gestionadas por el centro de intercambio y solidaridad en el salvador, se llevaría un mejor control de todos los procesos mencionados anteriormente, convirtiéndose en una herramienta tecnológica para todos aquellos que participen en los programas; facilitará además la manera de generar informes, que sirven como insumos para la labor administrativa de la institución. The Non-Governmental Organization, with a headquarters located in the capital of El Salvador, called Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad (CIS), is responsible for providing scholarships to disadvantaged students from all communities considered low-income, at the primary, secondary and university levels, as well as empowering youth and women to lead change in their communities through self-directed microenterprises and other social projects in which they are allocated funds and tools to achieve self-sustainability, in which they develop the skills necessary to contribute to a positive transformation in their community; a local Salvadoran committee is also formed in each community to oversee community service projects, organize trainings and leadership development activities, where the local committee is in charge of selecting students to receive scholarships, according to stipulated criteria; CIS has partnered with Clean Water for the World to install infrastructure and water purification systems in places such as schools and health clinics. …”
