“...The main objective of the study to understand the meaning of induced abortion that students of the Doctorate in Medicine of the University of El Salvador have, in terms of methodology it is a theoretical study with a qualitative approach, based on the phenomenological method of symbolic interactionism and Through the use of Grounded Theory in Data, where structured in-depth interviews with a focused interview format were carried out with 16 students of 50 to 60 minutes, two from each year of study, with prior informed consent where the following results were obtained: Meaning of Abortion: a complex phenomenon whose predominant connotation is aversion and disqualification coined to homicide; lack of education is conceived as a conditioning external situation associated with abortion; the psychological alterations in situations that make people vulnerable to induce an abortion; Self-care, the person values, prepares, controls and responds by avoiding or not performing an induced abortion; the Life of the embryo, essential center of the conceptual scheme, and it is tried not to end in abortion; God, the ubiquitous agent in every element of the meaning of abortion. ...”
