The company, the largest beverage company in Columbia, operates 10 breweries and exports its products to the US, Europe, and Japan. The family of billionaire Julio Mario Santo Domingo (one of South America's richest men) sold its more than 75% ownership of Bavaria to SABMiller in 2005. Since its takeover by SABMiller, the company has been paring down its non-core operations, most recently selling off its bottled water business. |
