520	3		\|a Durante los últimos años se ha visto un tono negativo y hostil en el contenido de las campañas electorales y otras actividades político partidistas. Ante la preocupación que genera el tono hostil de las campañas políticas se conformó en septiembre de 2011 en la Asociación de Psicología de Puerto Rico (APPR) el Comité Ad Hoc por una Campaña Electoral de Altura (CAHCEA). Como integrante del comité, realicé un estudio mixto con el objetivo de evaluar el proceso de implementación e impacto de la CAHCEA. En la primera fase administré un cuestionario y en la segunda entrevisté a los/as integrantes del comité y analicé documentos. Los/as integrantes del Comité pensaron que fue una excelente experiencia. Gracias al trabajo intenso, el liderazgo, la organización del comité, el compromiso y el apoyo de otros grupos y personas dentro de la organización pudieron lograr las metas y objetivos. En cuanto al impacto, la actividad que más se conoció fueron los comunicados de prensa. La evaluación de los debates de los candidatos a la gobernación fue la actividad que más les hizo reflexionar e influyó en su conducta. La limitación principal de este estudio fue el tiempo que pasó entre la campaña, la administración del cuestionario y las entrevistas. Recomiendo que en una iniciativa similar se planifique evaluar durante la implementación y los resultados al finalizar la iniciativa. En conclusión, la iniciativa fue exitosa pero aún queda trabajo que hacer. Como psicólogos/as tenemos la responsabilidad de poner nuestro conocimiento y destrezas en iniciativas como estas y la APPR es una gran plataforma para que nuestros/as colegas puedan trabajar colectivamente por nuestro país. Over the last few years there has been a negative and hostile tone in the content of electoral campaigns and other political party activities. Given the concern generated by the hostile tone of political campaigns, the Ad Hoc Committee for a Respectful Electoral Campaign (AHCREC) was formed in September 2011 at the Puerto Rico Psychology Association (PRPA). As a member of the committee, I conducted a joint study to evaluate AHCREC 's implementation and impact process. In the first phase I administered a questionnaire and in the second I interviewed the members of the committee and analyzed documents. The members of the Committee thought that it was an excellent experience. Thanks to hard work, leadership, committee organization, commitment and support from other groups and individuals within the organization, they were able to achieve the goals and objectives. Regarding the impact, the activity that was most known was the press releases. The evaluation of the debates of the candidates for the governorship was the activity that made them reflect and influence their behavior. The main limitation of this study was the time that elapsed between the campaign, the administration of the questionnaire and the interviews. I recommend in the future to evaluate during the implementation and at the end evaluate the results. In conclusion, the initiative was successful but there is still work to be done. As psychologists we have the responsibility to put our knowledge and skills in initiatives like these and the APPR is a great platform for our colleagues to work collectively for our country.
