| Resumen: | There are 3 basic approaches to handling remote computing. The first is to create a scheme tailored to a specific application. A 2nd approach is to extend the LAN by establishing remote LAN nodes. The 3rd method is to develop application servers that handle remote access to a range of applications. Each of the 3 options is ideally suited for some applications, but none of them are adept at handling every kind of remote computing scenario. That means it is up to net managers to match a remote computing strategy to the specific needs of their organizations. The problem is that it is tough to create a workable approach when applications and user expectations are shifting as quickly as they are when it comes to remote computing. |
