| Resumen: | "There are a lot of man-hours in these two buildings," said [Joe Raymond], who serves as business manager of Carpenters Local 43 in Hartford. "The unions came with the labor, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving came with money, the downtown merchants came with food," [Stephen Kline] said. Hartford companies donated most of the materials or provided them at cost. The cooperation, he said, has been phenomenal. Last Thursday, Gary Finney of East Hartford ignored the rain as he sawed cut sheathing for the market's walls. |
