| 抄録: | Chapter 5 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 57, no. 6), “Presentations,” explains that implementers may present metadata application profiles (MAPs) in human-readable, machine-readable, and hybrid formats. Human-readable presentations have been predominant in library metadata practice. Software development for metadata creation and management is increasing demand for machine-readable formats, which can interact with applications to enforce MAP requirements. Implementers can also use data-validation languages to encode MAP requirements for machine processing. Hybrid presentations and conversion tools can avoid the need to maintain multiple versions of the same MAP. |
