| 520 | 3 | |a El aporte científico de Giovanni Parodi a la lingüística y a la educación superior es enorme y ampliamente reconocido en América Latina y otros países en el mundo. Lo que empezó como un interés por mejorar destrezas en la comprensión de lectura se convirtió en un espacio que abarca la lingüística, la psicolingüística, la sociolingüística, el análisis del discurso, la lingüística de corpus, la retórica, la argumentación, el análisis crítico del discurso, el análisis computacional, la multisemiosis y otros campos. Giovanni Parodi abrió un camino en el que el debate era una constante para innovar en la teoría y en la práctica, pero nos dejó temas pendientes. Por eso, en este artículo primero me concentro en las temáticas lingüísticas que Parodi investigó y con las que contribuyó al desarrollo de la enseñanza de la lectura y la escritura en la educación y luego trato dos cuestiones centrales que quedaron abiertas al debate; por un lado, las distintas tradiciones de investigación que ofrecen marcos teóricos, metodologías y orientaciones didácticas para explicar y enseñar los géneros académicos y profesionales y, por otro, lo que entendemos por lectura crítica y su enseñanza. En general, discuto la importancia de la lingüística, y celebro el compromiso social de lingüistas, analistas críticos del discurso y educadores con hacer visible la investigación en América Latina. Giovanni Parodi’s scientific contribution is enormous and widely recognised in Latin America and other countries in the world. What started as an interest in improving reading comprehension has become a multidisciplinary research space that covers linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, rhetoric, argumentation, critical discourse analysis, computational linguistics, multimodality and other fields. He built a path in which debate was constantly present to innovate the theory and the teaching practice, but he left us some pending tasks. For this reason, in this paper I concentrate first on the themes that he contributed to highlight in academic and professional discourse, which influenced the teaching of reading and writing in higher education, and then I focus on two central problems that we must continue to debate, on the one hand, the research traditions that offer theoretical frameworks, methodologies and didactic orientation to explain and teach academic and professional genres and, on the other, the meanings of critical reading and its teaching. In general, I discuss the relevance of linguistics and celebrate the social commitment of linguists, critical discourse analysts and educators with making Latin American research visible. | |
