| 520 | 3 | |a O Processo de Bolonha veio reformular o modelo de ensino superior europeu, criando um novo paradigma assente na aprendizagem por oposição à docência. Pretende-se que os estudantes desenvolvam não só as suas capacidades de aprendizagem com maior autonomia, mas que ganhem também competências interpessoais, no ambiente académico e na sociedade. A biblioteca de ensino superior desempenhou sempre um papel de apoio ao estudante, no entanto, face às alterações consignadas no novo modelo de ensino, deve dar lugar a um espaço mais amplo, físico e virtual, que disponibilize todo o tipo de recursos, humanos e tecnológicos, necessários para apoiar a comunidade académica, onde se incluem alunos, docentes e investigadores. Este novo modelo de biblioteca, o Centro de Recursos para a Aprendizagem e a Investigação (CRAI), integra todos os recursos que dão apoio à aprendizagem e à investigação de modo a facilitar as actividades desenvolvidas no ambiente académico, fazendo pleno uso das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação. Compete ao serviço de referência da biblioteca de ensino superior a identificação, o desenvolvimento e a disponibilização de conteúdos, de modo a satisfazer as necessidades informacionais do seu público-alvo. As questões relacionadas com o trabalho académico, a metodologia científica e o acesso a recursos de informação foram identificadas, pelos bibliotecários de referência da MULL, como sendo as que mais dúvidas suscitam aos alunos. A criação do Portal Arquitectura do Saber, acessível 24x7, dentro e fora do campus universitário vai permitir não só a disponibilização desses conteúdos online, mas também possibilitar a interacção entre o bibliotecário de referência e os seus utilizadores, através da utilização de meios electrónicos como chat, e-mail, instant messaging (IM), entre outros. O serviço de referência que é feito no front-office deve apostar cada vez mais na sua evolução para um virtual-office, seguindo a tendência do seu principal público-alvo, a geração Google. TheBologna Process seeks to redefine the model of higher education in Europe by creating a new paradigm based on learning rather than teaching. The desire is for students to develop the wherewithal not only to acquire knowledge with greater autonomy, but to also gain interpersonal skills in academia and society as a whole. The libraries of higher education have always borne a heavy load in supporting the student. However, in light of recent changes, the traditional such library must now give way to a larger space – both physical and virtual – offering a vast range of resources (human and technological) needed for supporting the academic community at all levels – students, teachers and researchers. This new library model – the Resource Centre for Learning and Research (CRAI - Centro de Recursos para a Aprendizagem e a Investigação) – unites all the resources that aid learning and research, through the intense use of communication and information technologies, in order to make easier all the activities that take place within the academia. The academic library reference service is responsible for the identification, development and availability of contents with the purpose of fulfilling their target-public information needs. The Mediateca reference librarians of Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa have identified academic work, scientific methodology and access to information sources as the subjects that present greater difficulties for students. The making of the Portal Arquitectura do Saber, available 24x7, from inside and outside the academic campus will allow the accessibility to online contents as well as the possibility of interaction between reference librarian and users through electronic channels, such as chat, e-mail, instant messaging (IM), among others. The reference service offered at the front-office must definitely develop to a virtual-office, following the tendency of their main target-public, the so called Google generation. | |
