| Resumen: | This research had two aims: firstly, to know the formation process carried out by the football coaches in Castilla and Leon and, secondly, to design, experiment and evaluate a negotiated programme of continuous formation for a group of coaches in Leon. From a “macro” situation, in which the evaluation of their initial training by the soccer coaches in Castilla and Leon is analysed through the main use of quantitative data collecting techniques, the questionnaire, and, with less significance, a typically qualitative technique such as the interview, we then propose a collaborative programme of continuous formation, which, though following the guidelines decided by their participants, it also considers the deficiencies found in the initial training through the questionnaire. The programme will be assessed from an interpretative and naturalistic approach, by studying the evolution of a reduced group of coaches in Leon who have taken part in the Formation Seminar as a discussion group for two years. This study attempted soccer technicians to get used to a collaboration and cooperation work, overcoming this group's traditional professional isolation and the idea that their professional development finishes with initial training. We consider that the formation path is unlimited for any critical and reflective professional. The purpose of this Seminar of Collaborative Continuous Formation was to answer the following questions: Has the Seminar compensated some gaps in the initial training? Have the participants in the seminar noticed some changes and has it contributed to develop the skills to analyse their practice through a process of reflection and collaboration? Has this Seminar contributed to improve the quality of their coaching sessions? Is the interpretative methodology of the seminar a valid instrument for their professional development? |
