Resumo:The Mets' lead in the National League East was cut to 1 1/2 games when second-place Pittsburgh split a doubleheader with San Diego. The Padres won the first game 6-2, ending Pittsburgh's nine-game winning streak, before the Pirates prevailed 9-5. - Durham's woes: The Reds announced Tuesday that first baseman Leon Durham has agreed to enter a substance abuse program. Durham missed three games in a weekend series at Montreal. - Dodgers fall: The St. Louis Cardinals beat Los Angeles 3-2, ending the Dodgers' six-game winning streak. L.A. is seven ahead in the NL West.
