Abstract:The outlook for Vietnam's IT market in 2025 and over the medium term to 2028 has improved because of the liberalisation of data centre ownership rules in 2024 that will attract foreign investment and expertise, accelerating the development of the cloud and AI ecosystem. This adds to a strong core growth dynamic in the IT market based on an expanding and modernising economy, where levels of digital intensity have considerable capacity to increase over the medium term. Advances in AI have upside potential if there is increased capacity and lower costs for digital projects, which would accelerate digital transformation. Vietnam's export-driven economic model means exposure to global economic trends, both positive and negative, but the core dynamic of digital investment will be relatively resilient to most macroeconomic scenarios.
