| Resumo: | The scale of investment flowing into digital infrastructure and the AI ecosystem in the US means that the medium-term IT market growth outlook is strong, and we expect the US to be at the forefront of innovation in hardware and models throughout the forecast period to 2028. Hyperscale cloud companies are investing heavily in data centres and AI supercomputers for model training and increased inference capacity. Increasingly powerful AI models will underpin a new generation of digital products, and there is upside potential if AI can reduce software project cost and drive productivity gains in sectors that can benefit from updating legacy IT systems. There are downside political and economic risks, but the IT market will prove relatively resilient because of the high strategic value of cloud and AI investment. |
