Resum:La pandemia por COVID-19 incidió negativamente en el sector turístico hotelero de los países por el cierre de las fronteras. Este sector se afectó apreciablemente en Ecuador. Con la apertura de las fronteras fue necesario revitalizar el funcionamiento de las actividades turísticas y analizar la evolución de los indicadores financieros. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la evolución financiera en el sector hotelero del cantón Puyo, provincia Pastaza, en el año 2022, luego de la pandemia. Se aplicó la investigación descriptiva, utilizando como técnica la revisión documental. El diseño e implementación de un Plan Estratégico para el desarrollo del turismo en la provincia de Pastaza, permite la recuperación de los indicadores financieros, luego de la pandemia. The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the hotel tourism sector of the countries due to the closure of borders. This sector was significantly affected in Ecuador. With the opening of the borders, it was necessary to revitalize the functioning of tourism activities and to analyze the evolution of financial indicators. The objective of this research was to analyze the financial evolution in the hotel sector of the Puyo canton, Pastaza province, in 2022, after the pandemic. Descriptive research was applied, using documentary review as a technique. The design and implementation of a Strategic Plan for the development of tourism in the province of Pastaza, allows the recovery of financial indicators, after the pandemic.
