| Resumen: | The UK's mobile market is mature and presents a high level of saturation. Future growth will come from upselling customers and the increase in machine-to-machine connections, driven by 5G uptake. Mobile operators Everything Everywhere, Vodafone, Three and O2 all launched 5G services in 2019. The country's latest 5G auction in 2021 has further boosted the deployment of the new technology. Investment from operators and public funds will support the expansion of the broadband market, particularly in the fibre segment, amid growing demand for digital content and services. In an environment of increased competition and lower margins, operators and investors continue to seek new ways to monetise their assets through consolidation and infrastructure deals. |
