Computer software is the process of writing programs executed by a computer. Computer software programming is the process of creating a computer program in any language to be executed on a computer system. Computer software development or just development refers to the design and development of application programs used on computers. It includes application design and programming tasks. The term “development” can also be used as a synonym for “programming”, but it usually refers only to the latter task. Developers can also be called application programmers, system programmers, or software engineers.
