| Resumo: | Despite facing challenges in drug procurement and patent enforcement, Mexico's pharmaceutical industry is poised for sustained growth, fuelled by an increasing demand for advanced treatments for chronic diseases. As the second largest pharmaceutical market in Latin America, Mexico offers significant opportunities for companies developing innovative medications. Nonetheless, relatively low per capita spending on pharmaceuticals could limit the widespread adoption of patented drugs, potentially boosting the market share of generics. Government initiatives aimed at enhancing local drug manufacturing are expected to foster more international partnerships, particularly in the area of technological exchange. |
