| Resum: | La investigación aborda el impacto de las pruebas estandarizadas SOL y SOL Growth en la motivación de los estudiantes del Programa Bilingüe de Enseñanza Dual (DL) de nivel elemental. Se estudian las atmósferas de enseñanza, cambios y modificaciones en las metodologías e impacto de los procesos de administración de las pruebas en los estudiantes a través de las percepciones de los docentes. Además, se comprenden sus experiencias y puntos de vista hacia las pruebas. A través de un enfoque cualitativo se examinan los desafíos que enfrentan los estudiantes del programa DL en la preparación y toma de estas pruebas. En los primeros capítulos se presenta el marco teórico, el cual se alinea con las prácticas de enseñanza del programa DL, se presenta el trasfondo histórico del bilingüismo en Estados Unidos y la evolución, éxitos y desafíos de los programas DL. Se concluye resaltando la importancia de las pruebas formativas y la necesidad de mejores pruebas que midan el progreso real del estudiante y que se adapten para retar a estudiantes avanzados, pero a la vez que se ajusten a las dificultades y necesidades de la mayoría de los estudiantes. This research addresses the impact of the SOL and SOL Growth standardized tests on the motivation of students in an elementary Dual Language (DL) Bilingual Program. The study explores teaching atmospheres, changes and modifications in methodologies, and the impact of test administration processes on students through teachers' perceptions. It also explores their experiences and perspectives on testing. A qualitative approach examines the challenges faced by students in the DL program in preparing for and taking these tests. The first chapters present a theoretical framework, which aligns with the teaching practices of the DL program. The historical background of bilingualism in the United States is presented, as well as the evolution, successes, and challenges of DL programs. The conclusion highlights the importance of formative tests and the need for better tests that measure real student progress and are adapted to challenge advanced students while also adjusting to the difficulties and needs of the majority of students. |
