Abstrakt:	Este artículo explora el despegue del Partido Comunista de Chile (PC) tanto en el ámbito político como electoral. Se describe la influencia del PC dentro de organizaciones sociales y cómo se relaciona con su llegada a órganos estatales. También se usaron encuestas, datos electorales y sociales para analizar su base simpatizante. Se descubrió que si bien el PC logra simpatizar con quienes se identifican de clase baja, los datos revelan que tiene mejor votación en zonas menos pobres y urbanizadas. This article explores the take-offof the Communist Party of Chile (PC) in both the political and electoral spheres. The influence of the CP within social organizations and how it is related to its arrival in state organs is described. Polls, electoral and social data were also used to analyse his sympathetic base. It was discovered that although the PC manages to sympathize with those who identify as lower class, the data reveal that it has better votes in less poor and urbanized areas.
