The research is focused on the investigation of the methods and forms of further education of social workers. Data used in this study were gathered by questionnaire of 219 social workers. The methods of further education used by social workers are examined in order to categorize these methods into groups that would facilitate the development of appropriate combinations of educational methods. Furthermore, the relation between the variables selected and the methods of further education is investigated by means of a dependence test (χ2) and Cramer’s V measurement. Results indicate that methods of further education should be used in combination to increase efficiency. The results form the basis for formulating a scheme of further education in social work.
