| Resumen: | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las prácticas, las memorias y las motivaciones que tienen las personas miembros de la Asociación de Familiares Deudos del Cementerio Paraíso de Santa María en torno al camposanto de dicho nombre en San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, lugar con el que establecieron un vínculo (Creswell, 2008) y que permitió que este sea un activador de memorias. Para ello se realizó un trabajo de campo de corte observacional participativo, una serie de entrevistas y la elicitación del limitado material que existe sobre el cementerio que derivó en la elaboración de un documental audiovisual que registra de manera inédita prácticas grupales e individuales realizadas por los miembros de la asociación de familiares entre los que se encuentran las faenas, las asambleas, el empadronamiento y los rituales y las prácticas culturales que denotan resistencia y remembranza. Las prácticas individuales y colectivas de los deudos, que buscan preservar el lugar frente a la situación de abandono en la que se ha encontrado por años por parte de las autoridades locales que quedaron a cargo del cementerio tras el ordenamiento territorial en el Asentamiento Humano Santa María, se entrelazan con las memorias sobre el cementerio y sobre aquellos que ahí descansan. Además, se visibiliza la precariedad y la situación socieconómica de las historias personales de los familiares deudos, muchos de ellos migrantes provenientes de regiones andinas del Perú.   This research aims to identify the practices, memories, and motivations of the members of the Association of Relatives of the Bereaved Families of the Paraíso de Santa María Cemetery around the cemetery of the same name in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, a place with which they established a connection (Creswell, 2008) and which allowed it to activate memories. To this end, participatory observational fieldwork was carried out, along with a series of interviews and the elicitation of the limited material available on the cemetery. This resulted in the production of an audiovisual documentary that records, in an unprecedented way, group and individual practices carried out by members of the association of relatives, including chores, assemblies, registration of the deceased, and rituals and cultural practices that denote resistance and remembrance. The individual and collective practices of the bereaved, seeking to preserve the site in the face of the years of neglect it has suffered at the hands of the local authorities who took over the cemetery after the land use plan for the Santa María Human Settlement, are intertwined with memories of the cemetery and those who rest there. Furthermore, the precariousness and socioeconomic situation of the personal histories of the bereaved family members, many of whom are migrants from Andean regions of Peru, are made visible. |
