| Résumé: | Despite ongoing challenges in drug procurement and patent enforcement, Mexico’s pharmaceutical industry is set for continued growth, driven by rising demand for advanced treatments for chronic diseases. As the second-largest pharmaceutical market in Latin America, Mexico presents substantial opportunities for companies focused on innovative medicines. However, comparatively low per capita pharmaceutical spending may constrain the broader uptake of patented drugs, potentially increasing the market share of generics. Government efforts to strengthen local drug manufacturing are anticipated to encourage greater international collaboration, particularly in the field of technology transfer. |
