Additionally, they enable institutions to more efficiently use available teaching resources and recruit graduate students to contribute to their mission. The University of Wyoming participates in the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) of the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education. The University of Wyoming' participates in WRGP through a limited number of degree programs. Using purposeful sampling and document and website analysis, this dissertation entails a program evaluation of WRGP at the University of Wyoming (UW). The study employed program evaluation methodologies. Findings indicate a lack of clarity about the goals of WRGP and how the program fits into larger graduate recruiting efforts at UW at the administrative level. At the program level, the findings indicate limited knowledge about the program and doubts about WRGP’s applicability to specific program’s graduate recruiting efforts. Recommendations for analyzing the utility of WRGP at UW and for improving program outcomes are presented.
