Abstract:El objetivo de la investigación fue caracterizar el desarrollo de las habilidades socioemocionales de los estudiantes de la carrera Ingeniería Mecánica Agrícola para coadyuvar a su formación integral. La investigación es de carácter descriptivo, transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 28 estudiantes que contestaron un cuestionario en línea. Entre los hallazgos se encuentran: apreciable desarrollo de valores como el respeto, la solidaridad, la responsabilidad y el humanismo; idóneo carácter reflexivo para la toma de decisiones; y vinculación de los aprendizajes con problemas de la vida cotidiana. Como áreas de oportunidad se señalan: mejorar la comunicación profesor-alumno, incentivar la capacidad para manejar las emociones, entre otras. Se recomienda incorporar estos aspectos en el programa de acción tutorial. The objective of this research was to characterize the development of socioemotional skills among students majoring in Agricultural Mechanical Engineering to contribute to their comprehensive education. The research was descriptive, cross-sectional, and quantitative. The sample consisted of 28 students who completed an online questionnaire. The findings included: significant development of values such as respect, solidarity, responsibility, and humanism; an appropriate reflective approach to decisionmaking; and a connection between learning and everyday life problems. Areas of opportunity include improving teacher-student communication and fostering emotional management skills, among others. It is recommended that these aspects be incorporated into the tutoring program.
