| Resumen: | Mi proceso plástico actual nace de mi madre. Fue ella quien, con su amor y sabiduría, nos introdujo al Kambo cuando mi hermano y ella enfrentaban el diagnóstico de lupus. Desde entonces, esta medicina ha marcado mi vida, transformándose en un vínculo profundo entre el cuerpo, el espíritu y la naturaleza.Pero esta historia no solo está ligada a mi madre, sino también a mi abuela materna. En San Francisco, Bogotá, ella me acompañó en la búsqueda de la corteza del árbol de sangre de Drago, el hogar natural de la rana Phyllomedusa bicolor, portadora del Kambo. Gracias a ella y a los artesanos de la zona, encontré este material esencial para mi proceso, reforzando la conexión entre mi práctica y mis dos figuras maternas.En este cruce de caminos entre lo ancestral y lo personal, siento que la Pachamama también se manifiesta. La corteza, el Kambo y las manos que han hecho posible este encuentro convierten mi trabajo en un testimonio de sanación, herencia y memoria. Mi propuesta artística se construye desde esta experiencia, conectando mi autobiografía con lo que vivo y siento en carne propia al atravesar el ritual del Kambo.Desde esta vivencia personal, he decidido explorar el ritual no solo desde su poder espiritual, sino también desde su impacto físico y sensorial en el cuerpo. El cuerpo se convierte en un territorio de inscripción y transformación, un espacio donde las marcas del Kambo dialogan con la memoria, la materia y la energía que fluye entre lo humano y lo sagrado. My current plastic process is born from my mother. It was she who, with her love and wisdom, introduced us to Kambo when my brother and she faced Lupus's diagnosis. Since then, this medicine has marked my life, becoming a deep bond between the body, spirit and nature.But this story is not only linked to my mother, but also my maternal grandmother. In San Francisco, Bogotá, she accompanied me in the search for the Drago Blood Tree cortex, the Natural Home of the Bicolor Phyllomedusa frog, carrier of the Kambo. Thanks to her and the artisans in the area, I found this essential material for my process, reinforcing the connection between my practice and my two maternal figures.At this crossroads between the ancestral and the personal, I feel that Pachamama also manifests. The cortex, the Kambo and the hands that have made this encounter make my work into a testimony of healing, inheritance and memory. My artistic proposal is built from this experience, connecting my autobiography with what I live and I feel in my own flesh when crossing the ritual of the Kambo.From this personal experience, I have decided to explore the ritual not only since its spiritual power, but also from its physical and sensory impact on the body. The body becomes a territory of registration and transformation, a space where Kambo marks dialogue with the memory, matter and energy that flows between the human and the sacred. |
