| 520 | 3 | |a Na produção de bovinos, acontecem numerosos casos de afeções que podem levar à necessidade de uma transfusão de sangue ou dos seus componentes para ajudar na recuperação do estado geral do animal. Este procedimento também pode ser usado como um último recurso para ajudar um animal que esteja num estado moribundo. O objetivo deste trabalho passa por integrar a utilização de transfusões sanguíneas no contexto real em campo, através de uma revisão bibliográfica dos aspetos teóricos e dos procedimentos a realizar para garantir uma transfusão o mais segura possível. Assim, é possível averiguar as vantagens e desvantagens da realização de transfusões sanguíneas no campo.A principal questão posta neste trabalho é se o procedimento é realizável de maneira segura no contexto de campo, sem acesso a todos os métodos de identificação e categorização do sangue, sem a possível divisão dos seus componentes e com apenas conhecimento básico do dador.Este Relatório de Estágio encontra-se dividido em três partes principais: uma primeira, relativa às transfusões sanguíneas, em que são explicadas as indicações para o procedimento, as informações sobre os grupos sanguíneos e a sua tipagem em laboratório, os procedimentos a realizar para a transfusão, as vantagens e desvantagens da sua realização e o prognóstico após a mesma. De seguida é apresentado um caso clínico visto na Clínica de Bovinos da Universidade de Medicina Veterinária de Hannover, onde são seguidos os passos descritos anteriormente, mas num contexto de campo (sem acesso a laboratório). Por fim, uma conclusão respondendo às questões que motivaram a escrita deste relatório. In cattle production, numerous cases of conditions occur that may require a transfusion of blood or blood components to aid in the recovery of the animal's general condition. This procedure can also be used as a last resort to help a moribund animal. The objective of this work involves integrating the use of blood transfusions into the real-world field context, through a literature review of the theoretical aspects and procedures to ensure the safest possible transfusion. Thus, it is possible to determine the advantages and disadvantages of performing blood transfusions in the field.The main question posed in this work is whether the procedure can be performed safely in the field, without access to all methods of blood identification and categorization, without the possible division of its components, and with only basic knowledge of the donor.This Internship Report is divided into three main parts: the first, concerning blood transfusions, which explains the indications for the procedure, information on blood groups and their typing in the laboratory, the procedures to be performed for the transfusion, the advantages and disadvantages of performing it, and the prognosis afterward. The following is a clinical case seen at the Bovine Clinic of the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, where the steps described above were followed, but in a field context (without access to a laboratory). Finally, a conclusion answers the questions that motivated the writing of this report. | |
