520 3 |a Arabic graphic design and typography have been marginalized not only within global design education, particularly in Western institutions and graphic design histories, but also within many Arabic institutions themselves. This marginalization is a critical issue because even in Arabic higher-education design programs, the curricula tend to focus predominantly on Western design principles, leaving non-Latin scripts underrepresented, especially Arabic.I propose the development of a dedicated digital platform that aggregates resources, tools and educational materials focused specifically on Arabic typography. This platform would serve as a central hub for Arab creatives and others interested in learning about Arabic graphic design. The practical significance of this project lies in its ability to directly impact Arab designers and students by providing them with the tools they need to develop their skills in Arabic typography. On a broader level, this project holds intellectual significance for the field of graphic design by questioning the current paradigms that prioritize Western ideologies. It contributes to the ongoing discourse around decolonizing design education and opens up new avenues for typographic innovation. By focusing on Arabic typography, the project underscores the importance of non-Western perspectives in shaping the future of design.
