| Resum: | En la dramaturgia del teatro del Grand Guignol de París, el terror era un elemento al servicio de la truculencia, el frenesí, el delirio y lo grotesco. Con sus trucajes escénicos de gran calidad y su repertorio de piezas breves tan extenso como fascinante, es recordado como un capítulo destacado en el estudio de las artes escénicas del siglo XX. Fueron muchos los dramaturgos que escribieron para la compañía y muchas fueron las fuentes de inspiración: los relatos de Edgar Allan Poe tienen un lugar destacado entre estas fuentes. En este artículo analizamos algunas de las piezas del Grand Guignol de París que se basaron en relatos de Poe. In the dramaturgy of the Grand Guignol theater in Paris, terror was an element at the service of truculence, frenzy, delirium and the grotesque. With its high-quality stage tricks and its repertoire of short pieces as extensive as it is fascinating, it is remembered as an outstanding chapter in the study of the performing arts of the 20th century. Many playwrights wrote for the company, and many were the sources of inspiration: the stories of Edgar Allan Poe have a prominent place among these sources. In this article we analyze some of the pieces of the Grand Guignol theatre that were based on Poe stories. |
