This research paper focuses on the in-depth analysis and evaluation of the company Jumbo S.A, which operates in the retail sector. To achieve this objective, the company’s sector of activity is first presented, and the institutional and economic environment in which the company operates is analyzed. Next, a detailed presentation of the company is provided, with emphasis on its key operational characteristics and significant strategic choices implemented in recent years. Special attention is given to mapping the external environment both the general and the immediate competitive landscape in order to identify the main opportunities and threats that may affect its future course. Subsequently, the framework for the preparation of financial statements is analyzed, as well as the key components of the financial statements themselves. The analysis extends to the evaluation of Jumbo’s financial performance over the five-year period 2020–2024, through the use of key financial ratios relating to liquidity, solvency, operating efficiency, profitability, and capital structure. The methodological approach includes a systematic review of the published financial statements and their interpretation with the aim of drawing valid and well-documented conclusions. Particular attention is given to ensuring that the examined data faithfully reflect the company’s true position, without material errors or deviations that could distort the analysis.
