Abstract:	Resumen: La actual diversidad de áreas de investigación sobre la nobleza tiene un referente en la educación de los hijos de las familias nobles, que en su adultez estuvieron llamados a desempeñar unas funciones de primer orden en la administración de sus señoríos, al servicio del rey y de las instituciones de gobierno. Este artículo ofrece una selección de fuentes documentales para profundizar en diversos aspectos sobre la educación de los jóvenes, así como en las labores llevadas a cabo por los miembros de la nobleza como ayos en la formación de los infantes. El estudio, sustentado en una amplia gama de testimonios conservados en los archivos familiares, pone de relieve facetas como las materias incluidas en los programas formativos, la selección de maestros y ayos, las estrategias didácticas, la corrección, las lecturas recomendadas, las destrezas en los juegos, los conocimientos musicales y artísticos, y las experiencias de estudios en el extranjero, ilustradas gracias a relaciones epistolares entre padres e hijos. The diversity of research subjects about nobility has a reference in the education of noble families' children, who were called in adulthood to perform relevant functions in the administration of their lordships and at the service of the king and governmental institutions. This article offers a selection of documentary sources to deepen into some aspects about the education of youths and the tasks carried out by members of the nobility as tutors in the training of princes. The study, based on a wide range of testimonies preserved in family archives, highlights facets such as the subjects included in educative programs, the selection of tutors, teaching strategies, correction, the most recommended books, gaming skills, musical and artistic knowledge, and studying abroad experiences, which are illustrated thanks to epistolary relationships between parents and children.
