| 520 | 3 | |a RESUMEN:Dentro de la promoción de salud en la educación diabetológica es importante la consideración del autocuidado, ya que este se relaciona con las acciones que toman las personas en beneficio de su propia salud e incluye la práctica de ejercicio físico, nutrición adecuada y el autocontrol. EL OBJETIVO de esta investigación fue determinar los factores en salud y hábitos que influyen en autocuido del paciente con diabetes mellitus que asiste al primer nivel de atención del sistema de salud salvadoreño, en los meses septiembre a noviembre 2020. MÉTODOS: se realizó un estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo y transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo. La población de estudio quedo constituida por 310 pacientes diabéticos que llevan sus controles en las unidades de salud “Las Marías” y “Mejicanos”. Se estudiarán las variables factores que determinan sobre la salud enfermedad, y hábitos en autocuido. Se empleó como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta la cual estuvo constituida de 23 preguntas de opción múltiple para pacientes con diabetes mellitus. RESULTADOS: se obtuvo una muestra de 172 encuestados de los cuales 58.72% fue femenino, mientras 41.27% fue masculino, además el 91.27% respondieron tener accesibilidad a unidad de salud y el 8.72% indico no tenerla, también 86.04% manifestó saber leer y escribir, sin embargo, el 13.95% se refirió a “no” saber leer y escribir. CONCLUSIONES: Se acepta la hipótesis de trabajo y se rechaza la hipótesis nula, basados en los resultados de la investigación, ya que como se demostró a través de la prueba del Chi cuadrado, el valor de la prueba X²= chi cuadrado calculado 19.96 es mayor que el valor de la tabla X²=chi cuadrado tabla 3.844, por la tanto se concluye que los factores demográficos, económicos y culturales son los que más influyen en el autocuido del paciente diabético. ABSTRACT:Within health promotion in diabetes education, consideration of self-care is important, since it is related to the actions that people take for the benefit of their own health and includes the practice of physical exercise, adequate nutrition and self-control. The objective of this research was to determine the health factors and habits that influence the self-care of patients with diabetes mellitus who attend the first level of care of the Salvador health system, from September to November 2020. Methods: A retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out, with a quantitative approach. The study population was made up of 310 diabetic patients who take their controls in the "Las Marías" and "Mejicanos" health units. Variable factors that determine health, disease, and self-care habits will be studied. The survey was used as a data collection technique, which consisted of 23 multiple-choice questions for patients with diabetes mellitus. Results: a sample of 172 respondents was obtained, of which 58.72% were female, while 41.27% were male, in addition 91.27% responded that they had accessibility to a health unit and 8.72% indicated that they did not have it, also 86.04% said they knew how to read and write, however, 13.95% referred to "not" knowing how to read and write.
