| Abstract: | RESUMEN: La contaminación de las aguas superficiales; ríos, lagos, lagunas, etc. y de los mantos acuíferos o aguas subterráneas, es un problema que se ha agudizado a nivel mundial de tal manera que muchos gobiernos están legislando y creando medidas correctivas y de prevención contra esta problemática; pues ya se comienzan a sentir los efectos negativos de la contaminación de los cuerpos receptores de agua que afectan principalmente la salud, la flora y la fauna existente.
