| 520 | 3 | |a RESUMEN: Conscientes que la Artritis Reumatoide es una enfermedad de gran impacto social por lo incapacitante y desgastante no solo a nivel físico sino también a nivel económico, social y familiar, se considera un reto dar orientación oportuna y adecuada dando un rol protagónico al paciente para lograr mejorar la calidad de vida y de independencia, a través del uso de las diferentes técnicas de aplicación de la Terapia Ocupacional. El objetivo principal de este estudio es conocer la efectividad de la Terapia Ocupacional en los pacientes con diagnóstico de Artritis Reumatoide en etapa crónica, de sexo femenino entre las edades de 30 a 60 años que asisten al Centro de Rehabilitación Integral de Oriente. Entre los objetivos específicos se mencionan: Mejorar o mantener la gama de movimiento para lograr la máxima funcionalidad. Evitar la pérdida de funciones con la utilización de adaptaciones y férulas. Orientar en la elaboración de compresas caseras. Brindar apoyo psicológico a pacientes y familiares. Determinar en qué medida la Terapia Ocupacional ayuda a mejorar la evolución de los pacientes con diagnóstico de Artritis Reumatoide. La hipótesis de investigación se formuló de la siguiente manera: Hi: La Terapia Ocupacional como parte del proceso de rehabilitación mejora la funcionalidad de los Pacientes con diagnóstico de Artritis Reumatoide en etapa crónica del sexo femenino entre las edades de 30 a 60 años. La cual fue aceptada satisfactoriamente porque se lograron los objetivos propuestos, así como también la hipótesis de trabajo fue aceptada ya que el 100% de las pacientes evolucionaron satisfactoriamente con el tratamiento de Terapia Ocupacional. Dicha investigación se realizó con una muestra de doce pacientes que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión del estudio. El tipo de investigación fue prospectivo, descriptivo. Las técnicas de obtención de información fueron la documental bibliográfica, documental, escrita y las técnicas de campo. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se concluye que: La Terapia Ocupacional es una alternativa en el proceso de rehabilitación de las personas con diagnóstico de Artritis Reumatoide ya que en la investigación las pacientes mostraron mejoría en el estado físico aumentando la gama de movimientos, fuerza muscular, prensiones y con esto lograron una mayor funcionalidad mejorando su calidad de vida | |

The main objective of this study is to know the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy in patients diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in the chronic stage, female between the ages of 30 and 60 who attend the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center of Oriente. Specific goals include: Improving or maintaining range of motion to achieve maximum functionality. Avoid loss of functions with the use of adaptations and splints. Guide in the preparation of homemade compresses. Provide psychological support to patients and families. To determine to what extent Occupational Therapy helps to improve the evolution of patients diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The research hypothesis was formulated as follows: Hi: Occupational Therapy as part of the rehabilitation process improves the functionality of patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in the chronic stage of the female sex between the ages of 30 and 60 years. Which was satisfactorily accepted because the proposed objectives were achieved, as well as the working hypothesis was accepted since 100% of the patients evolved satisfactorily with the Occupational Therapy treatment. This research was carried out with a sample of twelve patients who met the inclusion criteria of the study. The type of research was prospective, descriptive. The techniques for obtaining information were the bibliographic documentary, written documentary and field techniques. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that: Occupational Therapy is an alternative in the rehabilitation process of people diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis since in the investigation the patients showed improvement in physical condition, increasing the range of movements, muscle strength , prehensions and with this they achieved greater functionality improving their quality of life. | |
