Sumari:Free Trade Agreements have taken in recent years an important dynamism in the expansion of trade in Asia-Pacific. This research aims to analyze the main characteristics of the Asia Pacific Regional Comprehensive Economic Association, considered the largest Free Trade Agreement globally. This Association incorporates 15 countries with important structural differences. China is included in the Treaty, which continues its hegemonic dispute with the United States, as well as its expansion as a world power. Based on the exhaustive bibliographic review, the study is supported by a qualitative approach that strengthens the interpretation of the object of study. It concludes by reflecting on the positive and negative effects that the acceptance of a Free Trade Agreement entails, which many do not consider the asymmetries between countries
