| Summary: | This work focuses on general socio-emotional climates and specific political contexts. The objective is to review, describe and reflect on the emotional climates in the pandemic in the world and in electoral times in Mexico. This is done through the monitoring of information in the news, analysis of survey data, review of images in the media, which present moods of political actors and the population as a whole. Among the issues found, the general fear of the pandemic stands out, the reduced confidence in political actors and institutions, the high presidential approval, the electoral campaigns between emotions and surrounded by intentional or unintentional humor, as a response to certain situations or as a communication strategy. All of which emphasizes the importance of the socio-emotional climate in politics and elections, how these apparently mobilize fear, anger, and also humor, the latter being prominent in the case studied |
