Sammanfattning:The occurrence of the invasive non-native indo-asian snail Ariophantidae Macrochlamys cf. indica Benson, 1832, alien species in the Americas and Caribbean basin, is confirmed for first time by us in the southern Brazil region, specifically on the Santa Catarina/ SC and Paraná/ PR States territories, presumably unnoticed introduced through international trade in citrus fruit seedlings. Preliminary additional informations, including monitoring and minimal observations of its biological cycle and invasive geographic advancement, facilitated by anthropogenic activities, are added. This report increases to 26 the number of exotic continental molluscs confirmed in the state of Santa Catarina/ SC.
