The effect of remittances on the measurement of monetary poverty

This paper studies the effect of remittances in El Salvador on poverty measurement by analyzing data from the Multipurpose Household Survey (EMPH) in terms of the importance of remittances, their effects on poverty measurement, and their age distribution.
