Resumen:	Best known for his parenting books The Hurried Child, All Grown Up and No Place to Go, Miseducation: Preschoolers at Risk, and The Power of Play, David Elkind is currently professor emeritus of the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development, Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. [...]in 1966 I accepted the position as professor and head of the Child Development Division of the Psychology Department at the University of Rochester. [...]I began writing for popular magazines and newspapers to voice my concerns. [...]it was during this period that I divided my time between teaching and being an author and lecturer.
