| Resumen: | Nurses work in various clinical settings, including schools. School nurses (SNs) have a multifaceted role, and they are the key personnel in the health care system. However, SNs' roles and responsibilities are not fully understood. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to explore perceptions of SNs' roles by the school community (teachers, parents, and school administrators) and address SNs' roles in the school community as explained by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) Framework™. An understanding of the NASN Framework will guide SNs in integrating their roles into their daily activities and help the community understand their varied roles so members of the community will seek SNs' expertise, and collaborate to improve students' well-being and academic performance. |
