Тойм:The development of the theory of complexity in the sciences and humanities is based mainly on the contributions made in the Anglo-Saxon and continental European world. Less evident is the contribution of pioneering contributions made from Latin America to the development of complexity theories. This work recovers the constructive philosophy of the Argentine scientist Oscar Varsavsky as a strategy to think about the complexity of innovation and the construction of the future. The central question of constructive philosophy is asked "how is the society we want and how does it go from the current one to the desired one". The constructive approach examines the kind of scientific practice and knowledge necessary to build a desired future. Varsavsky's work allows us to make explicit and problematize the link between the epistemic and the ethical-political and enables us to consider a critical articulation between the strategies of complex thought and the sciences of complex systems.
