| الملخص: | Peaceful coexistence within the school environment is a goal that educational institutions consider to achieve better academic performance and healthy social expression in students; socio-emotional skills, their knowledge, promotion and active application, are an alternative that is proposed here, to promote a culture of peace. The objective of the study is to analyze how socio-emotional skills affect the comprehensive development of the student, helping them to know themselves, regulate themselves, coexist assertively, communicate and resolve conflicts peacefully. Observation was carried out and the Social and Emotional Skills Assessment instrument of the SEP (2016) was applied to third grade primary school children. The results show that students with a lack of socio-emotional skills are more likely to resort to violence as a means of expression; also, students with possession of socio-emotional skills generate an environment of peace |
